Checklists

A checklist is a visual reminder used by many people daily.
Common examples include grocery lists, a list of errands, a
"to-do" list for home.  These lists can encompass a variety of
uses, but serve the same purpose: reminder.  We make these
lists in organized manners, some people type a master grocery
list and simply check needed items weekly.  Although it is fair to
say, most people make these lists in less organized ways, such
as jotting household needs on a scrap of paper!  There is again
a common factor in the typed grocery list and the scrap paper:
organization.

Reminders keep us organized.  Our definitions of organization
may differ, but we know what works to get us there.  Providing
our children with these organizational tools are useful in
reminding them of so many skills.  We can make
social skills
checklists, chore checklists, academic checklists, dietary
checklists, and the list goes on and on.  The important goal is to
tailor the creation of these, so that your child can gradually come
to use and
create these independently!
